WHY AI STRATEGY WILL UNLOCK A NEW GROWTH FOR INDIAN CONTENT ECOSYSTEM (AND OTHERS TOO)
I am in India and in the beautiful Goa for the first time, exploring the perplexing creative and technological capacity of the ecosystem at the flagship Waves Film Bazaar industry platform. A sincere thank you to Vineeta Mishra, and my dear mentor, former CEO, and advisor to the bazaar, Jerome Paillard for the the kind invitation to share some of my recent insights into strategic facets of AI development and adoption in the content business. Also a heartfelt thanks to my fellow panelists —Wonsun Shin, Sanjay Ram and Maciej Zemojcin and their insights across Indian, European and Asian perspectives where this transformation is heading. Some latest thoughts here. The era of "move fast and break things" is almost finished. With the EU AI Act debated but firmly in policymakers mind , plus guilds like SAG-AFTRA or streamers like Netflix establishing clear guardrails and guidelines (both good!), compliance is the new normal. If you cannot document your GenAI worfklow you cannot claim copyright, and you certainly cannot distribute globally (I also expect cannot screen at major festival soon). No compliance, no tracking, no rights. The industry has fractured into at least three distinct software platform verticals: Assisted, Enhanced, and Native. The immediate value is in the Assisted workflow that a few, and sadly, prioritize and explore. This is and will be handling your budgeting, financing research, and grant matching overnight. I expect that in half a decade an agentic AI can (technically) allocate film and media funding grants. Just see what Kaspar Korjus and his colleagues have achieved with Pactum AI to see what negotiating agents can do already today. Stop obsessing which model is best today or tonight. The models will change, delivering great output not. The priority must be AI Fluency and consensus in organizations, in and out. "Wait and see" at C and management level is becoming very costly. While we wait for perfection, underskilled teams are already falling behind, even purely by time resources. Finally Talent is the Centerpiece with India showing a magnificient example. As I've remarked continuously is not a feature or a tech issue - its a skills issue. Train your talents and techies today. CODA: Even if we cut the hype, its the Red One moment (great promise, infrequent but if works stellar delivery for the industry. Software and practices are still clunky and in development, but things are moving and shaking very fast, especially for incumbents. Hence, the faster all stakeholders put a strategic focus in place, the better for everyone. India has and will have a say and play in this by talent, tech, acquisitions, and ambition. #FilmBazaar #India #AIStrategy #MediaInnovation #FutureOfFilm #TechPolicy SKS AI x FiCCI 2025

Kaitseliidu parameediku kursused läbinud Sten: kohati oli väga raske, see oli nagu kiirendatud korras ajateenistuse läbimine
Steni jaoks on möödunud aastal läbitud Kaitseliidu parameediku kursused olnud elu üks suurimaid väljakutseid. „Kas sa oleksid valmis panema inimesele kanüüli?“ tõdeb ta, et parameediku töö pole kõigile. Kodanikuna, kes soovib nautida turvalises riigis elamise hüvesid, peab ta enda kohustuseks panustada oma võimekuse piires meditsiini ja riigikaitsesse.
